''Austrochaperina pluvialis'', commonly known as the Rain Frog or White-browed Whistling Frog, is a species of frog in the Microhylidae family. It is endemic to Australia. ==Description and habitat== A small species of frog about 5.5 cm long and with a weight up to 5 grams. It has spotty skin that is brown coloured with cream coloured spots and white dots.〔http://www.wildanimalsonline.com/amphibians/rainfrog.php〕 Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss. Some Australian tribes believed that this frog can cause (and prevent) rain.
